About This Fundraiser

Hey All!

Few facts to start off with:
1 in 4 women will experience domestic violence during her lifetime.
Women experience more than 4 million physical assaults and rapes because of their partners, and men are victims of nearly 3 million physical assaults.
Every year, more than 3 million children witness domestic violence in their homes.
Domestic Violence is a serious problem present in our society, and it needs to end right now.

We are part of the Youth Community Project Team which is a part of Korean American Family Service Center (KAFSC).
October is Domestic Violence Awareness month! Purple is the color for Domestic Violence awareness. The Purple Run is an event that will be held on October 18, 2014 by KAFSC. Participants like me, Sunabi, Sara, and Judy will be running 5km to raise awareness about domestic violence. All proceeds from our fundraising will go towards domestic violence prevention and intervention programs. Please donate and support a good cause! Any amount of donation is appreciated and we are very thankful!

Thanks,

Tae Kyung, Sunabi, Sara, Judy
